Our Approach to Academics

Our classrooms are spaces for active learning, growth, exploration, and discovery. Our dedicated staff ensures the diverse needs of each student are met through a range of tools and strategies, classroom design, and meaningful experiences through both independent and collaborative group work that seeks to engage and challenge every student to reach their full potential.

Averaging eleven students per class from K to Gr. 12, our small class sizes naturally grow close relationships and allow teachers to provide individualized care and attention that supports a student’s development and academic learning process. We seek to inspire lifelong learning through supporting academic success, at all learning levels, where students feel a sense of personal and academic achievement.

Primary (K to Gr. 3)

The beginning years of a child's educational life are important in establishing an optimism toward learning while providing a foundation of academic skills that strengthen future growth. These young minds are curious and possess a natural desire to learn. We aim to build on this curiosity through social, emotional, and cognitive development by encouraging self-expression, creativity, and exploration through learning.

Elementary (Gr. 4 to 6)

These are the years where adolescents begin to grow a little more intellectually and where we foster an environment that encourages students to begin taking more ownership of their learning and academic achievement. During the educational journey through Elementary, students grow the skills acquired in the primary grades and have an opportunity to explore new interests through clubs and participating in new activities as they prepare for junior high school.

Junior & Senior High (Gr. 7 to 12)

Junior and Senior High school is a time when students broaden and explore areas of interest that are meaningful to them as they journey along their path toward graduation. We nurture their curiosity and encourage them to explore new ideas and passions both inside and outside of the classroom. We strive to create an educational experience that challenges them to advance and mature their critical thinking and problem-solving skills, preparing them academically for post-secondary education and preparing them for life after graduation.

Intensive Core French Program

Our Intensive Core French Program is a literacy-based approach to learning a language. This means students learn to speak, read, and write in French, in that order—the natural way to learn. Our students begin French instruction in kindergarten, offering them the best possible foundation for learning a second language as they prepare for their Intensive French years.
